Which Moyoko curler should I buy?

The Curl Master 25mm is the versatile choice: tight ringlets or loose waves, depending on how long you hold and how loosely you wrap. The extended ceramic-coated barrel reaches the ends of long hair in one wrap, the clamp is forgiving for beginners, and it ships with a heat-resistant glove.

The Bombshell Beach Waver has three 25 mm ceramic barrels that crimp uniform S-waves in a single clamp, with an ionic generator to keep them glossy. It's the fastest route to even, undone beach waves, with no wrapping to learn, and Moyoko rates it for medium to long hair.

The Auto Curl Master draws each section into a 32 mm auto-rotating ceramic barrel, so you hold, wait, and release a finished curl. The other thing is direction: alternate away from the face and towards it, section by section, or you get one big ringlet. How do I curl at home, step by step?

1. Start on dry hair and apply Beat the Heat.
2. Section the hair and work from the bottom up.
3. With the Curl Master, wrap a 2–3 cm section around the barrel, hold for 5–8 seconds, then release. Flat-wrap for volume, twist-wrap for a beachier wave.
4. Alternate the curl direction section to section for a natural look.
5. Let each curl cool in your hand to set it.
6. Once cool, rake through with your fingers and mist lightly. Brush hard only if you want to loosen them into waves.

How do I make curls last?

• Curl cooler and cool-set rather than cranking the heat.
• A little Turn Up volume powder at the roots adds grip.
• Heat protectant first, every time.
