Kérastase Resistance Bain Thérapiste is a balm-in shampoo for severely damaged, over-processed hair. Part of the Kérastase Resistance range. Creamy, non-foaming texture that cleanses without further stripping fragile hair fibres, paired with deep nutrition that begins repair in the cleansing step.

Best for: severely damaged or over-processed hair — chemically lightened, frequently coloured, repeatedly heat-styled, or chemically treated; hair at erosion levels 3–4 (the most severely damaged tier) that feels rough, brittle, and weak; the cleansing step in a Thérapiste reconstruction routine paired with Masque Thérapiste and Sérum Thérapiste.
Less suited to: mild-to-moderate damage (use Resistance Force Architecte — Bain Force Architecte); hair primarily concerned with split ends and length retention (use Resistance Extentioniste — Bain Extentioniste); hair primarily concerned with dryness rather than structural damage (use Kérastase Nutritive — Bain Magistral); colour-treated hair where colour care is the priority (use Chroma Absolu or Blond Absolu).

How to use: For thick hair — apply a hazelnut-sized amount to wet hair and scalp, massage thoroughly, leave on for up to 3 minutes, then rinse. Repeat if hair is heavily soiled. For fine, very damaged hair — Kérastase recommends first applying Soin Premier Thérapiste as a pre-shampoo treatment, then following with Bain Thérapiste. Follow with Masque Thérapiste for the weekly intensive step.
