Who is the Classic for?
Fine, normal or shoulder-length hair, and anyone buying their first proper iron. Standard-width solid ceramic floating plates infused with tourmaline, infrared heat that Moyoko rates at up to 60% less damage than conventional plates, an ionic generator for frizz control, and a 110–230°C range on a digital display. It's the everyday iron in our salons.
Who is the Infinity for?
Thick, long or very curly hair. Identical technology to the Classic, but the flexible floating plates are 1.65 inches (42 mm) wide, so each pass covers noticeably more hair. Dense hair straightens faster and sees less heat overall. It's the iron our stylists reach for when a client has density to get through.
Who is the Pro Glider for?
Anyone who wants the kit, or travels. Extra-wide ceramic plates, a 120–230°C range, a 2.5 m cord and a 60-minute auto shut-off, packed with four croc clips, a V-shaped styling comb, a PU-leather travel bag and a heat-resistant mat. Available in Onyx Black or Pink. One honest note: Moyoko lists infrared and ionic technology for the Classic and Infinity but not for the Pro Glider, so if those are what you're buying for, choose one of the first two.
What temperature should I use?
Moyoko publishes its own guide, and it matches what we teach in the salon:
- 150°C — damaged or fine hair
- 180°C — light or coloured hair
- 210°C — normal to thick hair
- 230°C — keratin-treated hair or heavy restyling only
Most clients who think they need 230°C need 180°C and a slower pass.
How do our stylists choose?
'I ask two questions before I recommend an iron: how dense is the hair, and how much of it is there? Fine or normal hair, shoulder length — the Classic, every time. Thick or long, where you're doing pass after pass — the Infinity, because the wider plate halves your time and halves the heat exposure. The Pro Glider is for the client who travels or wants the kit. Which Moyoko iron is best for thick hair?
The Infinity. Its 1.65-inch flexible plates cover more hair per pass, so thick or long hair straightens faster with less heat.
What is the difference between the Classic and the Infinity?
Plate width only. Same tourmaline-ceramic plates, infrared and ionic technology, 110–230°C range and 2 m cord.
Does the Pro Glider have infrared and ionic technology?
Moyoko doesn't list either for the Pro Glider. It's sold on its extra-wide plates, auto shut-off and travel kit.
Can I travel with them?
The Classic and Infinity are dual voltage. The Pro Glider comes with a travel bag, but Moyoko doesn't list dual voltage for it, so check before you pack it for overseas.
Can I straighten coloured hair?
Yes, at 180°C per Moyoko's own guide, with heat protectant every time.
What's the warranty?
Twelve months on all three irons. Register within 30 days of purchase to activate it.
