Both systems are excellent at repairing damaged hair, but they use different technologies. Olaplex uses a single patented molecule to target disulphide bonds. Redken uses a highly concentrated Bonding Care Complex alongside Citric Acid (AHA) to strengthen weakened bonds while rebalancing the hair's pH to seal the cuticle. Redken ABC is often favoured by those who want intense moisture and softness alongside structural repair.

Is the Redken Acidic Bonding line safe for colour-treated and bleached hair?

Yes — it is designed for it. The entire range is sulphate-free and formulated at an acidic pH, which helps lock the cuticle down. This helps prevent salon colour from washing out and repairs the damage caused by bleaching and highlighting.

Can I use Redken Acidic Bonding Concentrate on fine hair?

Yes. The formulas are concentrated and hydrating but balanced to give weightless repair. If your hair is very fine, rinse the conditioner thoroughly and use a slightly smaller amount of the Leave-In Treatment.
