Joico Defy Damage Detox Shampoo is a deep-cleansing clarifying shampoo for all hair types. Part of the Joico Defy Damage range. Activated charcoal, arginine, moringa seed oil and hydrolysed pea protein remove product build-up and hard water minerals while simultaneously strengthening bonds and prepping hair for maximum absorption of conditioning and repair treatments.

Best for: all hair types with product, hard water or mineral build-up; periodic reset before intensive Defy Damage treatments; use 2–3 times per month rather than daily.
Less suited to: daily washing (use Defy Damage Protective Shampoo); hair with no build-up needing a gentle cleanse; dry or chemically processed hair that should not be stripped.

- Activated Charcoal (Charcoal Powder) — draws out impurities, product residue and hard water minerals from the scalp
- Arginine — smart-bonding amino acid; strengthens bonds during the cleansing process
