You didn't do anything wrong ...the product is awful for curly hair. it doesn't define the curls, and there is a lot of fluff on day 1. you don't get a day 2 curl. it's really bad - the fluff is awful - not recommended for curly hair - at all.

You only need a thimble of this product and it helps your hair behave. I came home from my hairdresser, decided my hair was too damaged with hi lights, and took a blunt scissors and chopped most of it off. Then when looking for a product that was not like putty, I found this, it’s soft, doesn’t make your hair sticky or hard, and I looked a good time before I found this and tried it. Do be careful about not using too much, a little goes a long way. Will definitely buy again. My son’s girlfriend who is a hairdresser said the last time she saw me after the hack off episode, said my hair was looking fabulous. It made my day.
The gel works well. Not sticky, light and feels soft after a while. I use it on my hair to keep my hair flat while I train. Great product! Would highly recommend for people looking for a light hold for a short period
