Avoid heavy oils and thick creams on fine hair. Dry shampoo at the roots between washes absorbs excess oil and adds texture and volume.

What is the difference between Redken Cerafill and Nioxin for thinning hair? Both are professional systems for fine and thinning hair. Nioxin is a 3-step system (shampoo, conditioner, scalp treatment) with a stronger scalp-focused approach. Redken Cerafill uses SP94 molecule technology and is slightly easier to integrate into an existing routine. Can fine hair use deep conditioning masks? Yes — but choose lightweight masks designed for fine hair. Heavy masks for dry or damaged hair will weigh fine hair down. Redken All Soft is too rich for very fine hair — use Volume Inject or a lightweight protein treatment instead.
