Kérastase has dedicated ranges for curly, wavy, and coily hair — the flagship Curl Manifesto range and curl-supporting products from Discipline and Nutritive. Curl Manifesto is Kérastase's most advanced curl system, built on Manuka honey and hyaluronic acid to deliver deep hydration, definition, and resilience to all curl types from loose waves (Type 2A) to tight coils (Type 4C). Every Curl Manifesto product is silicone-free, sulphate-free, and Curly Girl Method approved.

Bain Hydratation Douceur: Gentle hydrating shampoo for daily or every-other-day washing. Sulphate-free cream texture cleanses without stripping curl moisture.

Fondant Conditionneur Idéal: Daily-use conditioner that detangles, defines, and softens. Apply generously to mid-lengths and ends.

Masque Beurre Riche: A rich, butter-textured weekly mask for very dry coils and curls (Type 3C–4C). Provides intense moisture and elasticity.

Crème de Jour Fondamentale: Leave-in day cream applied to damp hair for definition, frizz control, and continuous moisture between washes.

Gelée Curl Contour: A defining curl gel that locks curl pattern with flexible hold and shine — applied to soaking-wet hair before drying.

Huile Sublime Repair: A finishing oil for shine, softness, and frizz protection on dry curls.

Kérastase Discipline Oleo-Curl: Older curl-care range still used in many salons. Discipline Curl Idéal is the dedicated curly hair option — frizz control and definition for wavy to curly hair.

Kérastase Nutritive: For very dry curls regardless of curl type — Masque Magistral provides intense moisture that benefits Type 3C–4C coils significantly.

Wavy hair (Type 2): Bain Hydratation Douceur + Fondant Conditionneur Idéal + Crème de Jour. Skip the heavy mask.

Curly hair (Type 3): Bain Hydratation Douceur + Fondant + weekly Masque Beurre Riche + Gelée Curl Contour for definition.

Coily hair (Type 4): Bain Hydratation Douceur + Masque Beurre Riche as conditioner + Crème de Jour daily + Huile Sublime to seal.

Wash: Cleanse with Bain Hydratation Douceur, follow with Fondant or Masque depending on hair type.

Style: While hair is soaking wet, apply Crème de Jour, then scrunch in Gelée Curl Contour. Don't disturb curl pattern during application.

Dry: Diffuse on low heat or air-dry. The cast (light crunch when dry) is intentional — scrunch out gently with a drop of Huile Sublime for soft, defined curls.

Between washes: Refresh dry curls with a misting of water and a small amount of Crème de Jour. Apply Huile Sublime to ends as needed.

Is Kérastase Curl Manifesto Curly Girl Method approved? Yes — Curl Manifesto is silicone-free, sulphate-free, and designed in collaboration with curl specialists for Curly Girl Method routines.

What is the difference between Curl Manifesto and Discipline Curl Idéal? Curl Manifesto is Kérastase's newer dedicated curl range — broader coverage of curl types and silicone-free. Discipline Curl Idéal is older and contains silicones, making it less suitable for strict CGM routines but still effective for general curl care.

Can I use Kérastase Curl Manifesto on colour-treated curls? Yes — the entire Curl Manifesto range is colour-safe and sulphate-free, ideal for chemically treated curls that need both colour protection and curl care.

How often should I use the Masque Beurre Riche? Once a week for Type 3 curls. Use as your everyday conditioner for Type 4 coils that need maximum moisture.
