Kérastase for Colour-Treated Hair

Kérastase Chroma Absolu is the dedicated colour care system — formulated to seal the hair cuticle after colour services and lock in pigment for lasting vibrancy. The Chroma Absolu range uses a Colour Locking Complex and Edelweiss UV filter to prevent premature fade caused by washing, heat styling, and sun exposure.

Kérastase Blond Absolu for blonde and highlighted colour-treated hair — nourishes while toning and protecting lightened strands.

Kérastase Reflection — the original Kérastase colour care range, now evolved into Chroma Absolu. If you have Reflection products, Chroma Absolu is the direct replacement.

Wash in cool water — hot water opens the cuticle and accelerates colour fade significantly. Use a sulfate-free shampoo at every wash — Kérastase Chroma Absolu shampoos are all sulfate-free. Deep condition weekly with a Chroma Absolu masque to maintain the moisture balance depleted by colour processing. Apply a UV protectant before sun exposure — Kérastase Elixir Ultime or Soleil Sublime are excellent choices for sun protection.

How often should I use Kérastase Chroma Absolu? The shampoo and conditioner can be used at every wash. The masque should be used weekly for freshly coloured hair and fortnightly for maintenance.

Is Kérastase Chroma Absolu suitable for all colour types? Yes — Chroma Absolu works for permanent colour, semi-permanent colour, highlights, balayage, and toning services. It is not specifically designed for bleached hair — for bleached or heavily lightened hair, use Blond Absolu.
